We welcome a wide range of Black-owned businesses, including product-based businesses and service providers.

We do not accept businesses selling or displaying sexual, discriminatory or explicit content.

All traders

• Must have valid Public Liability Insurance. You will need to provide this before the event or you will not be able to trade.

Food & drink traders

• No cooking is permitted on site. Food must arrive prepared and can only be reheated or kept warm using suitable warming appliances.

• Must provide a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Must bring a printed Natasha's Law Allergen Matrix on the event day.

• Drinks must be sold in sealed bottles or containers – no open cups.

Alcohol traders

• Must provide a valid Personal Alcohol Licence.

• Alcohol must be sold in sealed bottles or containers – no open cups.

Beauty businesses

• Must hold any relevant licences, qualifications and insurance required for the products or services you provide.

Please make sure you can meet the requirements for your business type before registering.

There is no fixed registration deadline. Trader registrations are reviewed on a rolling basis and will close once all available spaces are filled.

Some days or business categories may fill up sooner than others, so we recommend registering early if you'd like to join us.

Submitting a registration does not guarantee a space. If approved, you'll receive a payment link and your place will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

Yes. Stall fees apply for Winter Wonders, with different rates for food and non-food traders and the option to trade for one day or the full weekend.

Full stall fees and payment terms are provided at the beginning of the registration form, so you'll be able to review these before submitting your registration.

If your registration is approved, you'll be sent payment details. Your space is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Before the event:
You'll receive a full Trader Information Pack with everything you need to prepare for the weekend, alongside promotional support across Melanin Markets' channels and opportunities to be featured across Melanin Markets and the Whitworth's digital channels.

On the day:
We'll have a team on hand to support with unloading and getting you settled into your space.

Each standard stall includes:

• One 6ft table

• Two chairs

• Trader refreshments/snacks

Food traders will receive an additional table and access to power for approved warming appliances.

You'll also be trading inside the Whitworth Art Gallery, bringing together Melanin Markets' community with the Whitworth's existing audiences for a festive weekend celebrating Black-owned businesses, culture and creativity.
