Melanin Markets Summer Pop-Up
On Saturday 1st August 2026, we took over the Windrush Millennium Centre in Manchester for a day of Black-owned business, food, music, creativity and community.
The Summer Pop-Up brought together 30+ Black-owned businesses and creatives, with everything from handcrafted jewellery, artwork, clothing and accessories to homeware, gifts, African and Caribbean food and more.
Alongside shopping, there was live music, activities for little ones and plenty of space for people to eat, relax and spend the day together.
Most importantly, it was another opportunity to put brilliant independent businesses in front of new customers, encourage people to shop Black and keep more money circulating within our communities.
A huge thank you to every trader, creative, partner and visitor who made the day what it was. 🖤
